Lava adds Band 28 (700 MHz) to 5G, 4G phones

 

Lava officially entered the UK market debuting the Agni 4N, featuring a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor, and Vayu AI integration. It partnered with SW Network to drive marketing for this launch.

Domestic Component Investment: The company announced a ₹1,100 crore investment to transition from pure assembly to building key domestic electronic components, supporting the India Semiconductor Mission.

Vietnam Boat Tragedy Response: Lava managed the safe return of 86 employees and channel partners to India following a tragic boat capsize incident in Vietnam, coordinating closely with local and embassy officials.

Memory Chip Cost Pressures: Managing Director Sunil Raina noted that soaring global memory chip prices represent a “black swan event” creating cost pressures, though Lava continues targeting a larger share in the sub-₹30,000 smartphone segment.
